We are now offering Yoga. Through the expert tuition of Anthea you have the choice of either Vinyasa or Ashtanga.
- Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic and flowing style of yoga that links breath with movement through different postures. The theme or focus of the class can vary from week to week and each class builds towards a peak, or challenge posture, followed by integration and a relaxing svasana.
- Benefits of yoga include increased flexibility, improved muscle tone, assistance in weight loss, improved athletic performance and protection from injury.
- Ashtanga Yoga is a more physically demanding form of yoga that works through a set series of postures from the primary series. It can move at a faster pace than vinyasa, with more emphasis on forward folds to increase hamstring flexibility and building core and upper body strength. Modifications are made available to cater for all abilities.
